Coffee Zing

Waiting in line and running late for work prevent a morning stop at Starbucks. Philz is preferable but out of the way. Because I’m always running late to everything and anything I need my coffee by the time I’m out of the door.

I started experimenting with different flavors to add some zing to my coffee. These are home made and take about 3 minutes to make.

Vanilla Creamer:

  • 1 cup of milk (non fat/2 %/whole/half & half all work fine)
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk (I used low fat without extra sweetener)
  • 1.5 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 1.5-2 teaspoons of sugar

Method:

1. Combine all ingredients and shake/stir thoroughly.

2. Taste test

*This recipe calls for a sweet creamer, to adjust sweetness change sugar volume.

*Store creamer in sealed container/jar and keep up to a max of 2 weeks in fridge.

Amaretto Creamer:

(Sans liquor)

  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract

Method:

1. Combine all ingredients and shake/stir thoroughly.

2. Taste test.

*Store creamer in sealed container/jar and keep up to a max of 2 weeks in fridge.

*I went with less milk as to not hike up the volume of sugar. Do not go overboard with the almond as it carries a strong flavor.

**Measurements add up to what you see pictured in mason jars. These are a enough for 2 people for 1 week.

Enjoy 🙂
