Recipe per Betty Crocker, slightly altered 😉
1 Cup of Sugar
1 stick of butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
3 cups of unbleached all purpose flour
3 teaspoons of baking not powder
1/2 of chocolate chips (used I this recipe-dark chocolate and milk chocolate chips).
-Oven heated at 350
-mix butter and sugar
-when smooth mix in banana, eggs and vanilla
-when smooth, mix in flour, baking powder and chocolate chips
-divide dough in half, place on greased or lined baking sheet, bake for 25-30 minutes. stick a toothpick into dough-if it comes out clean, take dough out of oven
-let stand for 15 minutes and cut into half inch pieces, stick back into oven for 10 minutes
-remove from oven, turn pieces over and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
-remove biscotti and place on cooling rack. you can choose to garnish the biscotti with your choice of toppings; here I used powdered sugar and cinnamon.
