a spark from a silver hoof.

it begins with slits in our skies,

wonderstruck dreamers immerse

in an emerald abyss.

myriad brilliance alights,

his sundry troubles of madness.

unruly regimes

cozen our introverts;

only to become lonely in debt.

we lay in a thickness of swamp,

as he fastens rubies to my silhouette.

amethyst air puffs slip

from pink lips of struggling cherubs

determined to stay afloat.

she unearths a black pearl,

swelling with doubt as she bloats.

an ebony forest of pine

rests in his eyes,

caustically nourishing  the blue of her mind.

the slits peel softly away and we

imbibe on perilous malachite we left behind.
